Our Team

Marlborough Day Nursery ECS Ltd provides a team of specialists that meet the individual needs of each child funded by Alberta Education. Our team consists of certificated teachers, education assistants, and therapy professionals with expertise in early childhood education and diverse educational support.

Teacher

At Marlborough Day Nursery, our Alberta Education-certified teachers are dedicated to nurturing each child's potential. They engage with children at their level, using play-based learning to make education fun and effective. Collaborating closely with parents and guardians, our team develops personalized goals to ensure every child receives the tailored educational and therapeutic support they need to thrive.

Occupational Therapist

Our skilled occupational therapist (OT) specializes in addressing key aspects of child development, including fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and self-care independence.

Physiotherapist

Our physiotherapist (PT) expertly assesses and supports children with significant challenges in movement, posture, and gross motor development, including skills like rolling, crawling, walking, and jumping. When specialized equipment is needed to enhance a child's participation or independence, the PT takes an active role in selecting, fitting, and monitoring the use of this equipment.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Our speech-language pathologist (SLP) works with children to address communication challenges that can impact their social skills, relationships, and learning. This includes support for special needs in articulation, language, fluency (stuttering), voice, hearing impairment, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.

Educational Assistant

Our Educational Assistant works directly in the classroom with the child, teacher, and other team members to support each child's social, emotional, and behavioral development.

Psychologist

Our psychologist is an integral part of the Marlborough Day Nursery team, specializing in supporting children's social, emotional, and behavioral development. Services may include classroom consultations, assessment, and treatment to address students' emotional and behavioral concerns.

In addition to assisting our staff with programming, our team members are also available to parents to help with home concerns or questions.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

The speech-language pathology assistant under the direction of the speech-language pathologist assists in the treatment and monitoring of speech, language, voice, and fluency goals. The SLPA implements speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by the speech-language pathologist and the certificated teacher. Additionally, the SLPA monitors the use of alternative communication devices and systems.
